Jelly Roll enjoys one of his favorite pre-show munchies, according to Larios. The vocalist of “Best For Me” likes to nibble on sliced bananas covered in dark chocolate and honey.

According to Larios, the musician likes to eat high-protein foods like rice or potato flour-coated chicken breast after shows. His success has been largely attributed to these dietary adjustments.

Along with the tremendous support from the fans, Larios has consistently commended Jelly Roll’s development during the tour. The musician has been “absolutely crushing” his health battle, he wrote on Instagram on September 16.

Jelly Roll has made a sustained effort to maintain her health, going beyond simple diet and exercise while on tour. Another significant accomplishment for the “Whitsitt Chapel” artist was doing his first five-kilometer (5K) run back in May 2024.

Jelly Roll participated in the 2 Bears 5K, part of the “Netflix Is a Joke” comedy festival hosted by comedians Tom Segura and Bert Kreischer, and expressed his excitement after the event. “I couldn’t walk a mile when I started trying to do this back in January,” he recalled.

After the run, Jelly Roll talked passionately about the influence he and other larger participants had, mentioning how many individuals told him how they were motivated.

He also praised the event’s lively and diverse atmosphere, pointing out unusual attendees like a man wearing a bear suit and beer drinkers next to those setting personal records.

Jelly Roll revealed that he and Kreischer were emotional at the finish line, and that the event left him “really motivated” to continue his health quest. In addition, he acknowledged that he was “a little tired,” saying, “It was a little bit harder than I thought it was [going to be], but it’s awesome, man.”

Looking ahead, Jelly Roll said, “A half marathon next year!” “We’re saying it now, without a doubt!” Jelly Roll put in a lot of training before the 5K.

Jelly Roll revealed in April that he was exercising four to six days a week, covering two to three miles each day. Every day, he also included six minutes in a cold plunge and 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna. He said, “I’m probably down 70-something pounds,” in reference to his improvement.

Jelly Roll expressed confidence and his intention to lose even more weight. “If I feel this good down this weight, man, I can only imagine what I’m going to feel like by the time I go on tour,” he said.

Public worry over his health served as part of his motivation. After his wife, Bunnie XO, revealed that he had stopped using social media because of bullying about his weight, fans voiced concern.

Reflecting on this challenging period, the acclaimed musician shared, “I feel incredible. I’m surrounded by friends and family.”

He has already earned multiple awards from the iHeartRadio Music Awards and Country Music Television (CMT) Music Awards. Additionally, he was nominated for the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards for the first time.

Fans of Jelly Roll’s music and health are still in awe of his transformation and are eagerly anticipating the next stage of his journey, supporting him at every turn.
